My work unfolds along two fronts - the two parallel lives I have lived in recent years: that of the musician, and that of someone who works with vulnerability. These two paths began to intertwine when I realized that the bond between limit and talent is closer than one might imagine - that talent may be born precisely there: in the break, in the short circuit that diverts a function.
Il repertorio per definire il mondoRepertoire as a way to define the world
Bruce Chatwin wrote that Australian Aboriginal peoples believed the world had been created through song. To sing something is to give it life. At birth, each person received a song that set the boundaries of their world and traced its borders. It was an inheritance acquired by birthright that defines not so much what we have, but, through our natural inclination to explore, who we are.
Music teaching is often approached with the illusion of preparing the student through a kind of gym that would later make it possible to tackle a desired repertoire. I believe in the opposite relationship: discovering the repertoire one identifies with means beginning work on the workshop tools needed to play it.
This principle does not change depending on who is in front of me. It applies to the student preparing for a competition as much as to those who seek in music a space denied elsewhere - the same attention to the right repertoire, the same trust that rupture is not a limit to correct, but the point from which to begin.
Per chi è pensatoWho it is for
For those who seek in the guitar a bridge between music and their inner voice. For those who rediscover in music a shared space and a chance to sow questions and doubts. For those who feel distant from the arena of gymnastic performance and regard the mystery of poetry as a necessary act in the time of the world's night.
